For reasons clear only to Callisto, his war plan necessitates that Ellery be at his side, without allies, and helpless. Indulging himself in an extensive plan to violate Ellery so fully he becomes an utter captive, Callisto tunes Ellery’s fears like a theremin and plunges him into a well of paranoia so that he can abduct and transmigrate him back to his world.

Ellery is a boarding school teen with morbid secrets he wants to keep away from his classmates and teachers.
Since he came out to his controlling father, he has put immense effort into staying loyal to the societal expectations of his school and family—even though they don’t see or value him. When a spectral, alluring man visits Ellery in dreams and hallucinations, this stranger seems eerily interested in not only sexually harassing him but pointing out his most frantic internal contradictions.
As Ellery falls into a spiral of paranoia, he doesn’t understand that the strange visitor, a necromancer warlord named Callisto, is real, and so is the dark parallel dimension he’s taking him to.
