Ellery’s memories break apart with the drive of the blade. His past drifts out and away—frantic energy in the last wet exhale.
Getting to draw some truly out there violent scenes culminating in this one was intensely cathartic. Sometimes, you just need to torture your homunculus in a plot specific way.
Special mention to Ellery sketching Callisto’s shadowy form in his room with intense focus. I don’t talk enough about Ellery’s obsessive episode of drawing the monster man that keeps harassing him whenever he has a moment of peace alone in his room. Ellery’s spiral into paranoia and isolation is perversely both tragic and erotic, for the distinguished sicko.
